Psychooncology (from psychology and oncology) refers to the psychological care of cancer patients. Psychooncology is therefore an interdisciplinary form of psychotherapy that deals with the psychological, social and legal conditions, consequences and side effects of cancer. Psycho-oncological counselling and support for cancer patients is provided by psychologists, physicians, educators and social workers. In the practical care or therapy context of my practice, I would like to support patients in processing the disease.  The aim is to strengthen the competence of my patients to cope with the disease; I also try to include the personal social environment of the person concerned.

In this area I work closely with the gynaecological practice of Dr. Krebber  in Kleve.

Cancer patients are often burdened not only by their illness and the symptoms caused by it, but also by the consequences of cancer treatment.
