I am a qualified psychiatrist and neurologist with broad inpatient and outpatient experience in general and gerontopsychiatry.
Both my well-founded clinical and psychotherapeutic training at the university clinics of Magdeburg and Cologne, as well as my leading senior medical activity at the University Hospital Nijmegen form a good prerequisite for my psychotherapy and coaching practice (see CV).
Although I have been working mainly in the Netherlands for years, I have always maintained close professional contacts in Germany. For example, in 2011 I founded a research group at the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in Essen, where I am also active in teaching as part of an extraordinary professorship. I have worked as an expert in the Kleve district and am familiar with the structure of German specialist clinics and nursing facilities. I am also familiar with the work of my colleagues in private practice in the North Rhine Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians due to their regular psychotherapy supervision with German colleagues.
